Established in 2011, the Highland Green Foundation supports community outreach programs focused on education, music and the arts, and architectural preservation—all on the campus of the First Presbyterian Church in downtown Stamford, Connecticut. The Foundation seeks to engage a vibrant and diverse local community around this urban green as well as the international community wishing to preserve mid 20th century modern buildings. This 6.7 acre campus—comprising a village green and buildings that include a carillon tower and sanctuary that has extraordinary dalle de verre stained glass, floor-to-ceiling windows—designed by Wallace K. Harrison, an iconic modernist architect.
