Programs Throughout the Year
Music & Arts
The visual splendor of the sanctuary is complemented by music created by the Visser Roland pipe organ located in the Chancel, and the 56 bell free standing Carillon tower which stands 260 feet high, a landmark visible across the city of Stamford. Kevin Bailey, Minister of Music, and Marietta Douglas, Carillonneur, demonstrate how these instruments create the music of The Fish Church.
Throughout the year, Highland Green Foundation, presents a variety of musical performances on the campus of First Presbyterian Church of Stamford. We are committed to fostering creativity in our community through music and the arts programs.

Drozdoff Impromptu!
Classical Music Recital Series
Highland Green underwrites the Drozdoff Society’s mission of “preservation, promulgation, publication, performance, and recording of the compositions of Vladimir Drozdoff, 1882-1960. “ Fundraising by Highland Green supports the world class musicians who strive to bring these and the works of other pianist-composers of Drozdoff’s era to the great concert stages of the world; and to document, celebrate, and instill in a new generation of musicians the cultural and spiritual components embodied in the work of these great composers. Enjoy superb musicianship in an intimate setting.

Concerts on the Green
Highland Green supports this series of free summer concerts, held on Thursday evenings on the green of the campus of The First Presbyterian Church. Performed by professional blues, rock and jazz bands based in Fairfield County, each concert is kicked off by guest artists playing popular tunes on the campus’ 56-bell Carillon. Attendees are encouraged to supper on the green before the music starts.
